The inspiration behind Homemade Holiness can be found in one of the most beautiful moments of the Catholic Baptism Rite. As the baptismal candle is presented, the priest or deacon entrusts parents and godparents with these sacred words:
"Parents and godparents, this light is entrusted to you to be kept burning brightly. This child of yours has been enlightened by Christ. He (she) is to walk always as a child of the light. May he (she) keep the flame of faith alive in his (her) heart. When the Lord comes, may he (she) go out to meet him with all the saints in the heavenly kingdom."
Those words are not simply a beautiful blessing. They are a lifelong mission.
Homemade Holiness exists as a direct response to that call. We believe parents are the primary educators of their children in the faith, and that every Christian home is called to become a place where the flame of faith is intentionally nurtured, protected, and passed on. Through practical, engaging, and authentically Catholic resources, we equip parents, grandparents, godparents, and mentors to help children develop the beliefs, virtues, character, and life skills needed to follow Christ with confidence.
